Join us for Miles for a Mission, a family-friendly fundraising event supporting the YMCA Annual Campaign! Your participation helps ensure that everyone—regardless of financial circumstances—has access to life-changing YMCA programs like swim lessons, youth sports, summer camp, and community wellness initiatives.

💰 Registration Fee: $15 per participant
Run Times:

  • Ages 16+ → 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Ages 4-15 → 9:15 AM – 9:45 AM

🏆 Incentive: The youth and adult participants who complete the most laps will each win 4 tickets to an upcoming Grand Rapids Griffins or Gold game!

The YMCA Annual Campaign is a vital fundraising effort that ensures everyone in our community has access to the Y’s life-changing programs and services, regardless of financial circumstances. In fact, one in five Y members receives financial assistance, made possible through generous donor support. These contributions provide scholarships for youth sports, swim lessons, summer camps, and afterschool programs, giving children a safe and supportive environment to learn and grow. Additionally, donations help fund essential initiatives such as chronic disease prevention programs, senior wellness activities, and community outreach efforts that address food insecurity and mental health support.

$40 can give access to a four-week youth sports program

$80 can provide eight weeks of swimming lessons to a child who doesn't have access

$140 can provide a child with a two-month cooking class to learn cooking skills and healthy food choices

$340 can provide one week of infant care for working parents

$500 can serve 75 meals to children and families

$900 can provide two weeks of leadership training at YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin

$1,524 can ensure access and opportunity to a household in need by providing a one-year household membership.

Every dollar raised through the Annual Campaign directly impacts individuals and families, helping them lead healthier, more connected lives. With donor support, the YMCA continues to be a place of belonging, growth, and opportunity for all.
